Parents and Guardians,
I hope this email finds you well and you have had an enjoyable summer break with your kids. It's hard to believe Lenape starts next week, and all our students return to school on Wednesday, August 28th. I have worked hard to review our budget to ensure the district is fiscally responsible to our taxpayers in our spending. Through this process, I want to share that we eliminated a bus route without a significant impact on the times for our students. Working with Roenigk Busing on this change has taken more time than expected to finalize the new routes. At this time, all Lenape routes for AM and PM should have been sent through an email. If you did not receive your child's bus information for Lenape, please email me at [email protected], and we can get it taken care of ASAP.
In general, high school bus times will remain within 10 minutes of last year for most of our students. All elementary routes will be at least 20 minutes later than last year because the doors for elementary students will not open until 8:30 AM this year. We plan to have all the busing information sent out by the end of the day next Wednesday, August 21st.
